Restorative yoga are poses in which the body is supported and made comfortable by the use of props to promote relaxation, calm, and quietness of mind. The goal of restorative practice is not to actively stretch or strengthen, but rather to decrease the effort required and increase feelings of safety and release.
In this workshop, you’ll:
• Explore why restorative yoga is such an important form of practice for you and your students
• Practice a series of progressively deep restorative poses
• Learn prop modifications so you can adapt the poses to your needs and those of your students
Please be sure to find a quiet space where you will be able to be undisturbed, and devices switched off.
Equipment required: Yoga mat, 2 blocks, 3 blankets, 1 bolster recommended (or 3 additional blankets)
